1. About This Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Pixelly Ltd ("Pixelly", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and other technologies that store information on, or access information from, a user's device when the Pixelly Platform is used. These technologies include cookies, local and web storage, pixels, tags, scripts and similar technologies. In this Policy, they are referred to collectively as "storage and access technologies".
This Policy applies to the user-facing parts of the Pixelly Platform, including the Pixelly website and progressive web app. It should be read alongside the Pixelly Privacy Policy, which explains how Pixelly processes personal data.
Cookies and similar technologies are regulated in the UK by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, as amended (“PECR”). Where their use involves the processing of personal data, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 also apply.
2. Categories of Technologies Used
Pixelly uses storage and access technologies that fall into the categories set out in this Policy.
Strictly Necessary technologies are used to operate, secure and provide essential functions of the Platform and are used without consent only where an applicable PECR exception applies.
Functional**,** Analytics and Marketing technologies are optional and are not activated unless the user has given the consent required for their use.
The technologies currently used by Pixelly, together with their provider, duration and purpose, are listed in the live Cookie Table in Section 3.
3. Live Cookie Table
The technologies currently used by Pixelly are listed below. This table is updated when a technology is added, removed or changed.
3.1 Strictly Necessary
| Cookie / Technology | Provider | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
pixelly.cookieConsent.v1 | Pixelly | Until deleted | Records whether optional technologies were accepted or rejected. |
| Account authentication storage | Pixelly authentication service | Session and renewable persistent tokens | Keeps signed-in users authenticated and protects account access. |
| Stripe payment security technologies | Stripe | Session or as set by Stripe | Enables secure checkout, fraud prevention and payment authentication when a payment form is opened. |
3.2 Functional
| Cookie / Technology | Provider | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Interface preferences | Pixelly | Until deleted | Remembers choices such as dismissed notices and interface settings where used. |
pixelly:campaign | Pixelly | Browser session | Records the first campaign source for the current session. It is not used for advertising. |
3.3 Analytics
Pixelly does not currently activate an analytics provider. If analytics are enabled later, they will remain disabled until the required consent is given and this table is updated.
3.4 Marketing
Pixelly does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies.
Strictly Necessary technologies are used without consent only where a PECR exception applies. Optional technologies are not activated without the required consent.
4. Third-Party Technologies
Pixelly uses third-party services that support account access, Platform functionality and payments. Where those services store information on, or access information from, a user's device through the Platform, the relevant technologies are identified in the live Cookie Table.
Third-party services currently associated with storage and access technologies on the Platform include:
• Supabase, used for account authentication and related Platform functionality;
• Stripe, used for payment processing, payout functionality, payment security and fraud prevention; and
• Google, where a user chooses to sign in using Google.
The live Cookie Table identifies the technologies deployed by or through these providers, including the relevant provider, purpose and duration. Where consent is required, the relevant information is made available to the user before consent is given.
Where a third-party provider processes personal data for its own purposes and acts as an independent controller, that provider's privacy information also applies to its processing. Pixelly's handling of personal data is explained in the Pixelly Privacy Policy.
5. Consent and Cookie Choices
Pixelly obtains prior consent before using Functional, Analytics or Marketing technologies that require consent. These technologies remain disabled unless the user gives a clear positive indication that they agree to their use.
Consent is requested through the cookie banner and Cookie Settings. Users can accept or reject optional technologies through Cookie Settings. Pixelly does not treat pre-ticked boxes, silence, inactivity, continued browsing or acceptance of Pixelly's Terms as consent. Rejecting optional technologies is as straightforward as accepting them.
Strictly Necessary technologies are used without consent only where an applicable exception under PECR permits their use. These technologies are limited to those required to provide, secure or operate the relevant Platform function.
Users can change or withdraw their consent at any time through Cookie Settings, available Withdrawing consent prevents the relevant optional technologies from being used in future. Cookies already stored on a user's device can also be deleted through browser or device settings.
Strictly Necessary technologies cannot be disabled through Pixelly's optional-cookie controls where they are required for the requested Platform function to operate. Users can block or delete technologies through their browser or device settings, but doing so can prevent features such as sign-in, security, checkout or payment functions from working correctly.
6. How Long Technologies Remain on a Device
The duration of every deployed storage and access technology is stated in the live Cookie Table. Session technologies expire when the relevant browser or session ends. Persistent technologies remain until the expiry period stated in the live Cookie Table, until they are replaced, or until the user deletes them.
Pixelly does not use a storage and access technology beyond the duration stated for that technology in the live Cookie Table.
7. Personal Data Collected Through These Technologies
Where a storage and access technology collects or generates personal data, Pixelly processes that personal data in accordance with the Pixelly Privacy Policy. Depending on the technology and purpose, this includes technical information such as IP address, device or browser information, identifiers, security events, usage information and consent records.
The Privacy Policy explains the purposes of processing, lawful bases, recipients, international transfers, retention, individual rights and how to contact Pixelly about personal data.
8. Browser and Device Controls
Browser and device settings provide additional controls for blocking or deleting cookies and similar technologies. These controls operate separately from Pixelly's Cookie Settings. Blocking technologies that are necessary for a requested Platform function can prevent that function from working correctly.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
Pixelly updates this Cookie Policy and the live Cookie Table when the technologies used on the Platform, their purposes, providers or durations change, or when applicable legal requirements change. The revised date at the top of this Policy identifies the latest version.
A policy update does not replace consent. Where a new or changed technology requires consent, Pixelly obtains valid consent before using that technology for the new or changed purpose.
